About Me
Hello! My name is Isabel Strawn and I created this website for the Lobo Gardens Club. I hope this site helps anyone, especially you, the students interested in carving their own path.

I am a biochemist/ technical writer hoping to work in research and development while practicing medicine. However, writing for Space.com would be pretty awesome as well!

I hope this blog entertains, educates and encourages you to grow your route towards happiness and success!

The following Haiku illustrates my personality. Enjoy!

Every day I love
Sour things and tart patisserie
Fluffy sugar clouds

Acidic green fruit
Cool the sunniest of days
A bubbly delight
Balsamic winter
In the dead of summer days
Warm up ice-cold rooms
There is nothing more intimate than reading someones poetry right? The poem below provides insight about a little more about me!

Where I'm From (From Roots to Blossoms)
I am from perfectly breaded shrimp
That is no longer made
I am from golden pieces of corn tortillas that look pale next to scrambled eggs
I am from the memories of my grandparents
I am from freshly made flour tortillas that are filled with chile, tomate y cebolla
That taste just like heaven, even without cheese
Tamarind snow cones and chile lime salt me remind of rollerblading and scraped knees
I was born miles from my essence
Nonetheless, like a weed in concrete
Or the dehydrated capsicum annum
I am from breakfast burritos and the roasted pinon
That only blooms every seven years
From bone chilling winters
That bring snow resembling Italian shaved ice
A welcomed relief to my skin from the blistering summer sun
That looks like a giant flower, that spreads its seeds in the form of water.
